Dont know how to post pictures, but my wife and I each made this quilt. She used three values of blues, and I did a one color purple. We set at the kitchen table most mornings looking through our Iipad and mac for (sometimes) hours and when we see a pattern we want I can spend sometimes hours finding the pattern. We had a quilt business for 40 years, so we cant give up the urge to make every quilt that catches our eye.

Started working on the Pink Floyd quilt again this evening and after the taking a picture and getting it cropped to post, I realized that my prism is lower than it is supposed to be so now I am going to trim off the top and add a section to the bottom to raise it up. This is the center of the quilt and partially represents the recipient’s favorite albums.

I do have some wonderful coworkers that and I don’t make much for myself so I make for others…just because. It’s keeps me busy and off the computer and away from the tv!

I wish we could see what you made. It sounds interesting.

great idea for a quilt

latest I spy.  The pattern called Emeralds is by one of our members, Sharon Siacci.  Very well written pattern, the pressing instructions especially helpful.  she had a couple of additional layouts in the pattern, this is one of them.

Have always loved your I-spy quilts,  Such fun patterns and designs. I really like this one.  Wish I could blow it up to see it better. :)

That is a dazzling pattern, for sure.

I am also a person who cannot enlarge the photo but I can see enough to detect that there is a four patch in the larger lozenge but beyond that I am lost ...

well I don't want to "give away" too much because it's Susan's pattern (well written).  But here is what I drew out myself in EQ.  Her construction method is pretty slick, nothing wasted.
