Log Jam looks like a good one for scraps. Always on the look out for those.

Sew Yeah Quilting has a free pattern for what you are calling "Log Jam," but they call it the "3-4-5 Quilt," and the only difference is the way the blocks are turned, to make a different secondary pattern.

It's more of a Stretched Star design.

This UFO is really old. I was causing Instagram and saw some funky birds and starting drawing my version and the flowers just kinda came together. I will be prepping the applique for this as my new take along project. I am glad I finally came up with a fun new applique design for this.

It will be fun. I really need a take along handwork project and this should keep me busy for awhile. I am going to a local retreat this week and plan to do the prep work of cutting out parts for this to make it a kit to be able to grab and go.

I am attending a 3 day retreat with the local guild I recently joined. We meet a 9am and leave about 6pm and go home each night. Two days ago I started fiddling with an applique plan for this 20 year old UFO. I thought it would take the morning. Well I spent all day on it and will continue tomorrow. The projects I was going to work on are still packed up under the table. The second photo is outside the door of the retreat.

Thank you. Me too. I brought that top to one of my first retreats for show when we were still at Denise's condo. I knew it needed some applique but every time I would pull it out I just could not figure out a good design, till 2 days ago when I saw some birds that were curved, I started drawing and it all just came together. I am now just in love with the direction this took.
