I don't know why, but my mind went to black, white and gray.

Generation gap showing here, Pirate. I cannot enjoy TV shows without captions.
DH and I were prompted to watch "Bosch" by people here on the forum and we are deep into season 5 right now. We are enjoying the episodes immensely but would be utterly lost without the captions.
I wear a hearing aid and DH does not but he still needs captions for fast moving television shows. There's something about 79 year old ears and modern broadcasting .......

Rick and I just finished watching Two seasons of a South Korean series called Kingdom on Netflix. The first one or two episodes I wondered what we were watching, but it really got going! It has great plot.
BUT, while they have dubbed in the English, it is better to read the captions! The captions and the dubbed wording is not the same! I quickly figured out that the caption wording is a better translation for understanding the story or events.
But my oh my, what a strange thing to adjust to! Oh, btw, this is in essence a zombie movie, but not like our AMerican ones. We have enjoyed the costuming and cultural layers of this series. Wondering when season 3 will come out!

oh good! I'm glad you are enjoying them! I "found" the series by someone's recommendation when there were 4? seasons. I *loved* being able to have a marathon watching session and very impatiently waited for the next season. Ditto with the current season 6. I've watched them all and now .... I wait. I've read that season 7 will be the last one, unless someone else picks it up.

because that is the quinessential dark/medium/light? I think the hollow cubes would look stunning in that colorway .. with maybe a couple of cubes having the interior as a different pure color? Hmmmm .... something else to think of. :-)

I was digging through stuff today looking for a pattern for a baby quilt. Why is it not with all the other patterns? That remains a mystery. However, what I did find was a copy of a fun quilt called Hollow Cubes. I had to laugh. I guess I was serious when I told you I really really liked it!
Looking forward to seeing your progress.

LOL! It must be our shared good taste. :-)
I'm also assuming that it's an easy, machine pieced version? Cuz there is NO WAY I would EVER EPP a baby quilt. :-)

All righty, Cris ... it's all your fault.
You got me thinking of black and white and color hollow cubes. I really wasn't going to DO anything about it, except think that it would be a cool color them, when ... digging through my scraps, I found a yellow background with white & black daisies.
Well, that did it. I could just SEE a black fabric, a white fabric with just a little bit of black, and that yellow-black-white fabric as a bridge between the other two. I immediately dropped the Important Thing I was doing and made a hollow cube. Just for you. Well, not FOR you, you understand, but definitely under your influence. :-)
Doesn't it look *cool*?!?!?!? :-)

It does look cool and like its waiting for a chicken. You almost have me to the point of wanting to do a project.
