I found two blocks on FB that just might be a good idea for a few of us that like making string blocks.  I have always loved star blocks, but never thought of doing this!

the one picture gave some detail, these are 28” blocks.  So 7” individual blocks.  But they could be any size blocks. Hummmm....

enjoy the eye candy!  Maybe give it some thought, as I am.

I also just found this one.....I like the twist here, but I never have enough lights or neutrals in my straps.  I’d have to cut up a lot of yardage to do this one.  But I like the twist effect.

I found this one on Pinterest.

Oh, my, Ellen, that twist variation just about knocked my socks off ...

Wow I really love those. I have been planning a string project and this one is perfect. I love the controlled scrappy against the black and white.

You could just cut large triangles out of the light. We did that on Joy's mystery quilt.

Ami, which layout are you thinking of doing?

Two of these are variations on traditional blocks ... like this one whispers "Card Trick" but instead of solid fabric sections the person used string block sections.

As for cutting up a lot of fabric, isn't that what an AccuQuilt GO is for?  LOL
