We had a program cancel at the last minute due to an injury so we had to put together a program quickly. I agreed to be one of 5 to teach a mini class. I decided to teach an alternative method to the sew & flip method of doing corner triangles. I was kind of nervous about it, but it was actually very gratifying how many people were really interested and liked what I showed them. After the last group, I had walked away to see what the other tables were doing. When I came back one of the ladies was showing the process to another person who had come up late. I've never really experienced a "student" learning well enough and being excited enough to show someone else. Pretty cool.

That was so nice of you to jump in and help out. Sounds like it was a successful and rewarding lesson.

part two to the story. I was talking with one lady about how nice it would be to have a custom ruler to do what I was using a regular triangle marked with a sharpie along with some freezer paper to measure. It got me to thinking. So I went searching. And I found one. And bought it - grin. I'll let you know how I like it.

Good for you Dee! You are a good teacher….
I am beginning to get back to a bit of teaching, but I am going to keep it limited.
