Lesson learned regarding quilting thread color - yellow not so great   General Discussion

Started Aug-15 by Dee in TX (DBRADFOR3); 301 views.

I decided to try using some yellow Isocord thread that someone had given me.  The 1st quilt was primarily dark colors and the yellow looked pretty good, espcially against the block.  And the sheen of the thread was kind of cool.  So I kept going but really looking at the next quilt overall.  Then last night as I was putting on the binding I realized - geesh that yellow thread on the white background fabric looks like a mistake - like the yellow carbon paper we used to use for marking when garment sewing.  OH well.  One of those things that likely will only bother me.  I think I'll stick with Gray, black or red for the novelty quilts in the future.  But I did like Isocord  - no lint at all in the bobbin case.
