I put out a request about sewing machines…..BUT, I’ve had responses and we have options for getting everyone a machine!
we will provide you with a machine!
no need for you to schlep your machine!
That's kind of everyone local. I'll still plan to check with you as we get closer.

Hi you all... just wanted to share about our new family member. I've been longing for a dog since we had to say good-bye to DJ best friend a few years ago. David wasn'tlooked o meek and submissive when we saw ready to start living with a dog again but he did promise me when we moved to CO permanently FT we could get one. We didn't want to do so last fall as we knew we'd be going back to CA for Christmas so didn't want to have that many transitioned for a new dog by having to be boarded. We've been watching the county shelter's website for some time so decided just to go see if a couple of the dogs were really as the brief descriptions and small pictures presented. We were not planning to bring a dog home that day but...
Meet Serenity! Now named Amanda (we both love the Boston classic "Amanda"). She's about 9 month old Border Collie mix and weighs 13 pounds. She was picked up as a stray the day after Christmas. She's was very shy and nervous about most everything but with lots of love and playing and cuddling she's relaxing and seems to like her new home. We were really looking for an older dog as we've done the "puppy thing" already. But she stretched out her head onto her paws almost bowing to us as we walked past her kennel. I was taken as she wasn't barking or frantically moving around her space while other, bigger dogs were doing both. We asked if we could visit with her but another young family with 2 little boys was on the list before us. I thought, "Oh, no! Those little guys are going to want to take her home." But the mom told me they were looking for a Chiwawa as she had had them for years and they lived in a small apartment. But, being retired, we could wait and did. Then they all 4 just got up and exited. I thought they were going to the car for something but then the gal at the desk said we were to see her as soon as a Visitor Room was available. When she was bought into meet us she just ran though the doorway to me and then to DH. I think we both realized we would not be going home without her! She seems attached to me but she's becoming more close with DH as he mostly takes her out to do her business etc.
We are both smitten!

Cathy,
now that I am sewing again, I need to start thinking about the challenge door hanger.
is there a basic size we are to use? Can it be square?
I have something from the past in mind, but not sure if I can find it…can I do applique? Does it have to be quilted or can I just turn edge it? Or maybe even a finished raw edge?
i am not gonna get lotto blocks done….

I'll bet. Looks like you've been taking a break and doing machine work also.

I need to watch. Someone gave me directions but I really have to see it done, (and find the directions)
