In an effort to stimulate a little bit of trouble I would like to point out that this coming Sunday is

National Puzzle Day

https://nationaltoday.com/national-puzzle-day/

That means it is time to pick up a new unopened jigsaw puzzle or a new Word Search puzzle magazine or a new Sudoku magazine or a new crossword puzzle magazine or ... you get the idea.

Since I have retired from quilting I have taken a quilting "trick" I learned from forum members and applied it to my jigsaw puzzling; I now have TWO (2) puzzles under way at the same time; I'm solving a 500-piecer on my sewing room table and a 1000-piecer on the large table in our garage (a table that used to be part of my DH's Lionel train layout).

My mother would have a conniption fit if she could see this naughty behavior, working on a second puzzle before I finish the first one.  scream_cat

LOL!!  I think many of us here on the forum have led you to the dark side. It is perfectly fine to have more than one thing going at a time.

well you are tempting me.  I've been resisting and trying to stay focused on prepping my next applique project, but I may give in in honor of the day.  My "dear son" (said with serious sarcasm) gave me some doozies for Christmas.  I may start the smaller of them.  Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter & Star Wars.  All of them are grays & browns- hmmmmmm.  But I think I'm up for the challenge.

Tell your "dear son"  that he could become quite famous (and possibly rich) if he designed a sarcasm font that caught on and spread across the internet.

Miz Suze, you got me good with the gift you sent that arrived today!! I had already started working on a new puzzle and so I have an excellent excuse to procrastinate on the doozy you sent to me. It will certainly be a brain buster.

However, I will tackle it as soon as I get the 1000 pieces turned over because it is super-special all the way from the  west coast and it arrived on National Puzzle Day! And besides, I can work on two puzzles at the same time now ....
