This is the center medallion of a quilt, "Oma's Blues" by Esther Aliu. This portion is 21" square. However, I wasn't interested in the entire quilt, I was taken by the **border** around the center applique! It could very easily be straightened out to be a linear border.
The members of the FB group, "Esther's Quilt Blog Group" (https://www.facebook.com/groups/EsthersQuiltBlogBOMGroup/) is currently working on this pattern as a virtual group. LOTS of wonderful eye candy to illustrate how everyone is interpreting this pattern. Although the pattern is available (retail), if you are a member of her FB group, it is being offered for free in monthly installments. Yes, I'm a member of the FB group. No, I am not working on this sew-along. :-)
This blue/white version embellishes the border triangles with the suggested circles and diamonds (also appliqued). I think the roses in the corners are Broderie Perse.
This red version puts small decorative *buttons* in the triangles. Alternatively, you could also put some hand-embroidered motif there. This version uses the corner motifs that are supplied with the pattern.

No.
No, no, no!
I have other projects lined up and this is NOT one of them! I was simply intrigued by the triangular border treatment.

Have you paid your internet bill? LOL!
honestly, no. I assume you can see pictures that others have put in their posts? I'm not aware of any special "permissions" or anything.
