Remember the name placemats I was binding?  They were a birthday gift for my nephew's wife Emily (who had requested a set back in October, though she may have forgotten?) Friday was her birthday, and she absolutely LOVED them.  FYI she and Ed have a yours/mine/ours family, with two of each.

I can see why you would want company while you were working on binding those beauties; nothing like having pals to chat with while you are going cross-eyed working on the same pattern again and again and again ....

It turns out she forgot she'd requested them when I was in Maryland in October and saw a set of personalized placemats when we were all had dinner at my brother's house.  Of course remembered as soon as she opened her gift.  She was thrilled - and it's always nice when projects are appreciated.
