So I'm watching Youtube, trying to keep myself busy and from re-injuring myself. This chick takes a layer cake, and cuts an 8" square out of it. She then says you can donate those extra strips to some place that makes dog beds. I heard Sharon in my head saying, "That's yardage!" LOL!!!

That is a waste of more than 30% of the layer cake fabric....!!!

Absolutely, that would be the 8 and 10 inch strips for a log cabin, already cut.

I've noticed that Donna Jordan throws away lots of scraps. I figured it was because she wants you to buy more fabric from her....
