Of course we go out at about 6am but it’s really pleasant at that time of day nearly all year long.

6AM?!?!?!?!   Holy moley, my eyeballs aren't even THINKING about opening, much less being awake, at that time!  :-)

Although, I do understand about having the whole day in front of you to get your stuff done.  :-)

My eyes are open but my body won't be in gear for another two hours so I am sort of in agreement with you, Pirate.

When I started fitness walking in 2013, I would go out at 5 a.m. during the Summer - that's the coolest time of the day.  And don't go thinking I'm an early bird or anything, because as soon as I got home, I would go right back to bed.  Used to work at night, you know.  ha

My sister did that also, when she lived in Mesa, then Yuma.  You get all your stuff done early, so you can stay in later when it is hot.  I wouldn't go back to Phoenix because there are too many people!  When I grew up in Phoenix, the northern border of the town was about Union Hills, the sheep herders would go across the desert north of that.  I love the desert, but there are too many people in Phoenix-LOL!

Yeah, and as kids, we use to see how far we could walk barefoot on the asphalt before our feet started burning. (Yes, I know, there is something wrong with me-ROTFL)

When we first moved to Phoenix, all we had was a swamp cooler.

I could go on and on-LOL!

Ah, that Arizona pioneer spirit!  Give me Johnny Appleseed's applejack (hard cider) any day.

Quilting is going great.

Thanks for the picture.  Bet it looks great on your bed.  Do you have other projects waiting in the wings?

I do. I am going to be quilting my Pollinate wallhanging next. Hopefully this weekend I will start it. This one will be a custom quilting project instead of a pantograph.

I'm sure you will do it justice.  Look forward to seeing it quilted.

Thank you!  I basted it this morning. Now to appliqué it to the background before quilting.

my update is NO breast cancer gene, Yay yay, so I’ll be having the lumpectomy soon. Just waiting on a date, then off to radiation.

Wow Laura, what a huge relief off your mind and that of your kids too. Best wishes as you move forward with treatment.  hugs
