Congratulations on the successful sale of your house.  It seems to be such a hot market so many places!

Hi all!  I'm back in hot CA from CO.  We worked very hard around the existing house to cut down dead branches and mow down 2' high grass/weeds and other stuff.  We "inherited" a ride on tractor lawn mower.  It didn't start in March so we were slightly concerned.  But DH put in a new battery and fresh gasoline in the tank and he was off.  I even got to take a couple of turns but he did the majority of the work.  The area looks so much better.  Like someone actually cares about it.  There were a lot of dead and broken branches that came down in the heavy, wet snow storm that came down in the last storm.  We hauled them out to the back area way beyond the house so as not to be a fire hazard.  However we sure could make a great bond fire!

Ami, I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up with you.  We had some meetings at the house and then had to go into town and order necessary bigger things.  One thing is an ATV for me to get around on!  We had been thinking we'd just get a gold cart but this will work better for us as it has a bed behind the two seats that you can carry things in.  It even lifts up to dump stuff out like a dump truck.  I had to choose the color so of course I chose RED.  The other option was camo which would have been fine if they had a used one.  It's darn cute.  Once we get word it has arrived we'll plan another trip.

In the mean time it's really hot here this weekend so we are staying in!  Hope you all had a great Independence Day holiday!

I'll confess my initial thought was ... WHY do you need a BED in an ATV??    oh.  never mind.  :-)

Hey, Mel- Nancy Sears here! Congrats on becoming an RN ( I think) ( Hope it is you)  I had a roomie once who smoked pot on my front porch in front of the neighbors while my two small children were home- needless to say, she was gone within the week. My dog threw up in the next room mates shoe, so I ended the room mate phase!!!

LOL  Here's a picture of what "Little Red" will look like!  I am holding out for red wheels!  They only had 3 in stock when we ordered it so hopefully they can find a 4th one for me or I may look a bit odd with 3 red and 1 black ore paint it myself!!  I think she will look quite cute.

that looks adorable!   It will be VERY practical for you.

One of Tom's friends lives up by Grass Valley.  She & her husband have quite a bit of acreage and they have an ATV similar to that, with the tilt-up bed, etc.  She says it has come in SO handy for them.

Thanks!  Yes, it will help me a lot especially as the neuropathy in my feet gets worse and I get older.  We expect we will be able to find many things to use it for.  We can even add an accessory of a 66" snow plow to the front!!
