Lol I think I won some of those. I’ll call you when I get ready to set them. (Well after I find them)

RE:  The 4.5" bright/black swap blocks.  I have a bunch of those too!  But I think they got packed already!!

Is it hard to rent out your house?

It may not be but we need to secure the funds from the sale of our CA house to build our CO house.  We have a lot in our invested funds to get going but we need the money from one house to finish the other without having to take a loan to do so.

No, certainly we could rent it easily especially since we are in the desired elementary and high school districts.  But we need the money from the sale of our home in CA to use for the finishing of the building of our new one in CO.

I have been making some clothes though as well as some bags for out camping gear.

Good for you!  I remember the year you made yourself a whole coordinated wardrobe in a relatively short period of time.  I remember thinking how cool to have a whole coordinated wardrobe!!    Good for you!!

my step-granddaughter (Sammy) won $75,000 in the Kansas State Lottery a few weeks ago.  It was a $10 scratch-off given to her at a company event of her fiance's.  Everyone at the event had a lottery ticket at their place setting.   After being taxed she got $53,000.  She just graduated with her RN license so I'm sure some went for student loans.

Outstanding!!

For what it is worth RE:  etiquette for gifts.  First, I also am one who is in total agreement with you!  I also was taught to reply with a thank you note or someone in the immediate family a verbal acknowledgement.  My maternal grandmother always gave each of us grands a package of thank you and enough stamps for said package to be written and mailed.  My sister and I were always held to it by my mom but my dear cousins never sent theirs out.  I always wondered what they did with those and what they did with the stamps!

Mine are packed too lol “somewhere”.

I actually did receive thank you cards from the kids I sent graduations cards/$ to. I was happy to receive them. But from the kids (nieces and nephews etc. ) for birthdays and Christmas it’s a 50/50 chance you even get any acknowledgement and it’s the same few that their parents make them. I hope that when they’re old enough to send out gifts to others on their own, it stings when no thank you comes, they will then start teaching their children to be thankful and polite.

Ok, girls, how are your lives going? What's going on with your health? With your kids and grandkids? I miss the chatter!! LOL!!!

Not much new going on here. The weather in Colorado is more humid than New Mexico so it feel hotter. We are doing lots of camping and exploring on the weekends.

I am spending most weekdays quilting or sewing for DBIL. Just took in a new customer quilt yesterday.  I am also working on upcycling a few thrifted clothes and sewing a few things from scratch.

I have the Stripology ruler and love this pattern.  Other than the 10" square you start with, can anyone help me figure out the other cutting measurements?
