No serious flooding like that in Midland which made me heartsick because decades ago we lived there for ten years.

However, I'm sure that the  farmers in my area will be delayed with their planting this year. Probably the same for Lynne in Illinois.

I would be happy if you would send some of that our way.  We could use a little rain.  Hopefully we will get some with our Monsoon season which starts sometime next month.

I made a small quilt top from a pattern that Ellen used at the retreat called Scooch Over by Maple Islands Quilts.  Went together quickly.  The finished blocks are 12 x 18.  I wish the blue had been lighter or that I had used a gold for the light and the blue for the dark.  Oh well, it is still pretty and I have lots more of the focus fabric.  What do you think about a narrow border in gold?

I like the blue and brown. Can you do narrow border in gold and then a final border in brown. That pattern looks like a great way to use focus fabric. 

Today I finished my quilt top that I sarcastically named my "2020 House Arrest Quilt". I have an appointment for a hair cut, another appointment for a dental cleaning and the local Panera Bread is open for business so I feel as though life will slowly begin get back to normal around here pretty soon. (Of course wearing a mask to get a haircut is not exactly "normal" but it's a step in the right direction .... )

Anyhow, here's a photo of something that could become a very colorful 48" x 68" picnic blanket someday, once I get the backing pieced. I took the top outside and spread it on the grass in the front yard under the shade of our ash tree to take the photo and to give the top the idea that it will become an out door blanket some day. 

The colorful dots fabric on the right in the photo happens to be in three pieces right now;; those have to be pressed and stitched into one big piece before they can be loaded on Lily Aurora to serve as a backing.

What about a small gold border and then a border of the focus fabric?  That might lighten your darks...or draw your eye away from them.  Lay it out and see....

That will be fun to use outdoors!
