I've finished enough units to start the assembly process of Inner Cube. Not all of these are sewn together but they are pinned in their correct placement.
If you see little yellow or green labels, that's to tell me what color combinations the small Tumbling Blocks are. There are VERY specific combinations that go in VERY specific locations. You can't just toss them up there willy-nilly.
Right now, I'm working on getting all the color Tumbling Blocks sewn into the white-with-black-polka-dot star wreaths. I have the color combos written down and pinned to the wreaths, so it's just a matter of sewing the little 1" diamonds together in the correct color order to make the Tumbling Blocks then sewing them into the wreaths.
Then, comes the part where you REALLY need to pay attention to the layout: **what color combinations go where**. This pattern continually challenges me and isn't one that I can construct while paying attention to something else!

Beautiful Ami. I really like the colors in this quilt. Your quilting will make it even better, if that's even possible, it's so beautiful already. Do I remember correctly that this is a gift for someone in your family? What a lot of work.

Yes you remember correctly. It is a wedding quilt for DH's cousins daughter who got married last July. She has been commenting on it when I post on Instagram and hopefully we will be able to get together with her for dinner soon and give it to her. She lives in Colorado so that is possible. I hope to find backing here in New Mexico........I am here for a week. Then I hope to get this on the longarm soon and quilt it. It is a huge quilt so it will not be a quick one.
