hey..that sounds like something I would do...
Farmhouse stars from Connecting threads. I really liked the secondary pattern of the square in the corners created when the blocks are put together. I ordered the pattern but I didn't like how they pieced it. The entire thing is HST. even the center square in a square & the flying geese pieces. hmmmph. I guess that's easier for a beginner to piece, but good grief, all those seams! So I drew it out myself and pieced it the way I wanted - center square in a square with flying geese on the sides. The only part that I didn't love is matching that point where the center square in a square & the outside flying geese come together. There was no way to get that to play nicely without pressing the seams open so that's what I did. And steamed them and used a wooden plank to get them to lay flat.

AND BEAT THEM INTO SUBMISSION! :-)
Another lovely quilt! I think I remember when you showed us how you refigured the pattern. How big is each block? Lucky couple to get one of your quilts.
I finally got some of my many tops quilted and these are a few of them.. I offered to provide a few for a fund raiser for our church camp so that provided the incentive to get s few quilted and finished.
What great quilts, Lynne!
I swear your clothesline must get very excited when it sees you coming with a laundry basket full of quilts to hang for "photo day"!
Clothesline just hangs around moping and pouting and wondering when the next glorious batch of goodies will show up.
That's a very handsome batch of quilts you have finished; your church is lucky to have your donations.
Thanks, Judy! Photo ops are the only time my clothesline gets used any more. I used to hang out all laundry to dry but I no longer have the desire or energy to haul a heavy basket of wet laundry up from the basement. So much for going "green".
the blocks are 10" finished. two 2" hst, 4" geese plus two 1" spacers = 10"
