Love your scrappy quilt! I just finished piecing something similar only 6 strips instead of your 8. I have a bunch of CW fabrics I wanted to play with and thought this would be a good pattern. I really must quit piecing and start quilting.

Your bonus quilt turned out great! Very creative and resourceful. I call that size a nap quilt--just right for cuddling up on the couch.

It has been quiet a summer for me. I did not get to go to FL in June. Had the covi and my eyes with hay ware. Was seesing double. Then I was planning on going to Va in Aug for my D-Day.Then my dad got sick and died two days after my Birthday.I was just thinking that Qct is coming soon.Where are you planning on to go on your little trip this year.? I amplanning on to go to AZ in Feb. I am still making quilts.I got 50 ready to put batting and backing on. And making me some tops from knits material.

thanks Lynne. Mine is made with 4.5" squares and 4 patches. I love 4 patches, so easy.

I really like that and will again have to add it to my inspiration file. Mine is the triple treat leader/ender project from Quiltville. The 4 patch uses 1.5 inch squares yielding a 2.5 inch 4 patch. It's taking me a while.

that's interesting. adding that one to my inspiration file
for novelty I would do 4.5" strips instead, making a 12" block, it would go fast. hmmm, thinking....

Good idea making it bigger. It would make a kid quilt in no time .I like how you can arrange the blocks in different ways--zig zag lines or Xs - whatever you want.

You have had a lot on your plate this summer! I remember reading about your eye problems--are they all better now? It's nice to have AZ to look forward to. I did have big plans to head to South Dakota this fall, but changed my mind. I was getting real nervous about it and finally realized that the accident I had on my last trip did a number on my nerves. I'm just going to go down to Paducah KY for a day or two. Baby steps at getting back to travelling.

What town do you live in? I'm not totally sure what my plans are but that would be nice if we could meet up.
