Thanks for the additional info! I have made a few zippered pouches and do know how to "box off" the bottom so the lining won't come out, but I didn't know how to make that big opening. They could make some cute gits to have on hand at Christmas.

Yes, I did but it was just for one day. It was just enough to get away for a bit of new scenery. Of course, I went to Hancocks and I like it down by the riverfront. After last year's accident, I hope I get over this nervousness about traveling solo.

Glad you were able to make it.Did you like the Hancocks quilt shop? I hope you will get over your accident event from last year. I will be coming to IL Thanksgiving week end for my dad estate sale. For Christmas I wil be traveling to West VI for Christmas.

Super cute and I love that tutorial. You gave me that years ago and you are right. It makes the best zipper pouches ever.

Just working on the same old tops. BUT sure enjoying seeing all that the rest you quilters have started, finished or are somewhere in between. Also love the photos. Here are the finished blocks for the Hurricane Ian quilt I'm making for my friend. It will be a gift to her "plain neighbors" (her words - suspect Mennonite) who helped her so much. There will be sashing with a red corner stone between the blocks.

We would love to see some photos of your work too, even if not complete. It has been so quiet here. I miss seeing pictures of finished or even unfinished eye candy.

For some reason I had the urge to make a sailboat quilt, thinking it would be more "boyish" for my charity quilts. It then morphed into boats floating on a sea of fish. I kept finding fish ideas on pintrest and this is what I ended up with.

Thank you. I gave it to our new minister's one year old son, thinking "fishers of men".
