Thanks Cathy! We specifically didn't want to do the puppy thing again. When we got a puppy when DJ was entering Kindergarten we were 30 years younger! But we saw Amanda and she just stole both of our hearts. She is learning already and seems to be a lot less nervous with us. Nights are still hard for her not be with us or be in the same room. But she was a bit more quiet for lengths of time last night so hoping each night will be another step in the right direction.
We are enjoying her tremendously though. I think we both miss having a furry friend more than we were willing to admit! Sure... they are a bit more work... especially at this age but their unconditional love is addicting!

Carolyn: I must say that the link they provided for us to register worked like a charm! It was SO easy to get on and make my reservation. Easiest it has ever been! I appreciate it. ~~~ Jonna
Is it my imagination, or is that hotel the closest we have ever been to the airport? It appears so, just looking at the map.
Now making a note to send in the rest of my registration fee.

I had to use my computer instead of my phone, but I got my reservation in last week.
so…
registration sent
flight reservations made
room booked
BIL‘s going to watch the ducks
Then I went to make the reservation for Phia at “the spa“ only to find out that our vet doesn’t do boarding anymore as of January 1! Doh! Looks like Stack’s on the hook to watch and pill Phia after all. Going to have to have him practice as he hasn’t done it for a long time.
Not much chance he’ll do the Sub-q fluids but we are doing them every other day so I’ll just load her up early Thursday and the get her Sunday when I get home.

I'm unfamiliar with that side of Phoenix so I don't know how close it is to the airport. We always try to get as close to the airport as we can. I sure miss the Clarion. Even though the hotel was starting to show its age the sewing room we had was perfect. The hotel is being converted to apartments or assisted living. I'm not sure. Laura is our point person with our current hotel so she gets the credit for the online registration. She made her reservation first to make sure the system was working correctly.
