Are you talking about the same Sophie that I met up with at the National Quilting Association show in Columbus, Ohio in 2008?  (My hair was redder and I was significantly heavier so Sophie's looks might have changed as well.)

Looking at Sophie's quilt again and zoomed in. I remember that spiral quilt pattern and a lot discussion about how to do it. It became quite popular on quilt blogs for awhile and then disappeared.

WOW!!  That is a blast from the past!!

Maybe more of an...  explosion!!  I recall her as an avid quilter and her hosting swaps enthusiastically kept them going for a time.

I still love the way my LBLC quilt turned out.  Especially after Ami quilted it for me!!  That was a real splurge.  I'm trying to plan where it may go in the new house to really see it in all of its bright glory!

Gorgeous, Judy!!

I had forgotten about all those swaps.  Even more cool that it might have some blocks in it from other forum members, makes it a real community quilt.  Glad I bought it, even if DD doesn't want it - tho she will because she loves red and brights.

That is soo cool.  The quilt it beautiful. For some reason, I think one of my 'doll swap quilts' is from Sophie.  I may have to pull them and take a look, I could just be remembering the name from the old forum.  Hope it did well with in the fund raiser.
