I would like to copy a set of Start Page rules from one forum to another. I plan to redact direct references to the original forum when I move the text, plus I've made a spelling correction or two. Would I be violating the TOS?

You would not be violating our Terms of Service, unless it somehow violated copyright. Any Start Page rules are probably drawn from multiple sources and not original enough to qualify for copyright protection. If the text appears really creative and original, it might fall under copyright. Remember that copyright is about the text - the expression of the rules in words in this case, not the underlying ideas.

But if there is doubt, why not ask the forum host if they have any objection as a courtesy? Most hosts would be flattered to be asked, I expect.
