Why is there such a delay in receiving notifications sometimes? It's 11:50 p.m. 2/7, and I just now received a post dated January 30 from a member. Not only is PM slow (still not working gunter, even when waiting), but notifications too?? That's the 3rd notification I've received well after the fact - hope it's not habit forming.

Smiles -- they just aren't reporting them, but they let me know. For me, it's hit and miss. Manageable, but something to live with. It could be worse.

Gunter, I am one to stand up and complain, this has been happening to me for months, it is out right embarrassing to get a message 2-3 months after it was posted to you, makes you look ignorant for not responding to who posted to you. I like to acknowledge everyone that posts to me out of decent respect.
Also the Private message link needs oiling, we pay for these services and half the time can't use them.

Well that's really weird.

Try to note if there is a pattern when this happens like from the same forum for instance.

Also forward copies of really late notifications to service@delphiforums.com. Maybe the headers will give a hint.

It is happening at Family Matters. Inconsistent for me, but it happens at times. It would be nice to get some of these fixed.

I might mention re: by pm problem - today,I've been able to open the one that is on top only. I was even able to respond which is a bonus. No wait, no pain! None of the others will open as usual.

Are these email notifications or messages on the forum that show with the Messages to Me filter? Either the one in red at the top of your screen

or using the list of discussions.

Seems unlikely. Can you fwd one such late arrival to the service address. It would need to be forwarded though not copy paste or a screenshot.

Sure can't do that. It happens about 20 times a year, and I just read, respond late, and move on. When/if it happens again, I'll send then. I do remember though when Franki was coming he and I used to complain about this happening a lot. I think it's gotten somewhat better, but know it still happens. I sometimes responses from someone and wonder, what is that about. I click back to find out, and it's one they received late.
