Hi all, just did my first carb cleaning, trying to identify the little grey filter/breather thing that is at the top and between the two carbs. Looks like it just hangs out under the airbox. It looked nasty, I cleaned it with brake cleaner, looks like charcoal came out, now there's just a piece of screen inside. Question is how do you check it and does it need replaced?

Thanks

Dan

That's the breather filter for the carbs. as the float bowls raise and lower, air is pushed in and out. That filter just stops big chunks from getting in.

Thanks for the info, I thought I screwed it up with the brake clean.
