This is prob a long shot, but gotta ask. Anyone happen to know the diameter of the lock on the side cover?

At some point over the years, I apparently lost the nut that goes on the back side, and would like to get a replacement. Just didn't feel like spending about $7 for a nut at the local dealer.

Take the lock to your local hardware store.....you'll find something that works.

Thanks kinda figured that would be the easiest route.

Of course,  around here we lost all the mom & pop shops and just stick with the big box stores.

You may also want to check the kick stand safety switch.

You mean the tool kit cover? If so, I may have one from my old bike I parted out. I'll send it to you if I do but won't know until Sunday or Monday. (I'll be away from home)

You can get the same type lock at a hardware store, very basic and used for cabinets etc.

Thanks, kinda what I figured since they are just a barrel style lock.
