04 Vstar 1100 Classic

Just finished up starter clutch job - starts up great.

However, I was messing with the clutch lever down by the clutch cover (dumbazz) and rotated it up. It clicked up and now is locked in the same position- can’t move it. 
Is there a way to resolve this or did I fudge something up behind the cover
